What SubTrace is

SubTrace is a personal tool that reads subscription-billing emails in your Gmail inbox and summarizes them in a dashboard. It is provided free of charge, as-is, with no guarantee of availability, accuracy, or continued operation.

Accuracy is not guaranteed

Subscription detection is based on pattern matching against email text. It will sometimes miss a subscription, detect one that does not exist, or misread an amount, currency, or renewal date. Do not rely on SubTrace as a financial record. Always confirm against your bank or card statement and the merchant's own account page before making decisions about your money.

Cancellation links are best-effort

Cancellation links come from a manually maintained list and may be outdated or wrong. SubTrace never cancels anything on your behalf — it only points you at a page. You are responsible for confirming that a cancellation actually completed with the merchant.

Your Google data

SubTrace requests read-only Gmail access and cannot send, delete, or modify your email. It stores only extracted fields (merchant, amount, dates), never message contents. See the Privacy Policy for details, including how to delete your data and revoke access at any time.

Acceptable use

Connect only Google accounts you own or are authorized to access. Do not use SubTrace to access anyone else's mailbox without their permission.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SubTrace and its author are not liable for any loss arising from use of the service, including missed cancellations, unexpected charges, or decisions made from inaccurate detection results.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time. Use "Delete my data" on the dashboard to erase your stored subscriptions and revoke the Gmail token, and remove access to SubTrace from your Google account permissions.
